RESERVATIONS:
Reservations can be made over the phone and confirmed with a 50% deposit of the total rent due. The balance of the total rent must be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival.
CANCELLATIONS:
In the event that you have to cancel your reservation, we will provide a complete refund of all payments made, less a $25 administrative fee if we can re-rent the home. If we cannot re-rent the home you will not receive a refund. We make every possible effort to re-rent the home. If you cancel your reservations before your final payment, 30 days before your arrival, all money will be refunded less a $25 administrative fee.
SECURITY DEPOSIT:
A $200 security deposit is required for occupancy. The security deposit will be refunded within 30 days from your departure. The full amount will be refunded unless charges for damage and repair have to be deducted.
TRIP INSURANCE:
We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Should it be necessary for you to cancel your reservation, and we are unable to re-rent the home, the insurance company will refund your money.
PAYMENT:
Payments can be made by personal check, or money orders. We DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS.
CHECK-IN TIME:
Check in time is anytime after 3 PM on your arrival date. We will make arrangements in advance to give you a code for the lock box for the home. The lock box contains the key for the home. We provide an informational folder about the home and the area inside the house. Should you have any questions you may call us at anytime.
CHECK-OUT TIME:
Check out time is anytime before 11 AM on the date of your departure. Please return all keys to the lock box when leaving the home.
LINENS AND TOWELS:
All linens and towels are provided. There is one set of sheets for every bed and 2 towels for every person.
GARBAGE SERVICE:
Garbage removal is unnecessary. The cleaning service will collect and dispose of all garbage after you depart.
TELEPHONE USE:
All homes have a telephone that you can dial local calls on. Long distance and toll calls are not permitted unless made using a calling card. All calls outside of Transylvania County are toll calls. Telephone number local prefixes are: 862, 877, 884, 885, and 966.
Cell phones do not work in many parts of the mountains, therefore you should not depend on cell phones for long distance calling.
PETS:
Pets are not permitted in any home unless specifically allowed by the property owner. If permitted, a non-refundable pet deposit of $100 per animal is required. The fee is for the privilege of having a pet in the home. Any damage caused by the pet will be deducted from the security deposit. Flea and Tic pest removal is included as damage and can be charged out of the security deposit.
SMOKING:
Smoking is not permitted in any of the homes. If the odor of smoke, or damage from smoking is evident, the Tenant will be charged the entire amount of their security deposit for clean up.
The no smoking policy is strongly enforced for the courtesy of other non smoking guests.
CLEANING SERVICE:
Cleaning service is not provided as part of the rent during your stay. You are responsible for normal house cleaning during your stay. The regular cleaning service will be scheduled to arrive at check out time on your departure date. The cleaning service will make the beds, fold and store extra linens, towels, vacuum, and clean all bathrooms and the kitchen. Any additional cleaning which may be required will be charged out of the security deposit.
