Deer Ridge Property Management was formed to serve the needs of a rapidly expanding and diverse vacation market in the Mountains of Western North Carolina.

Jim Kolisch, one of the founders, has over 20 years of Property Management experience. He and his wife, Karen, and two daughters, Kim and Kristy, were attracted to the outdoors of WNC. The entire family enjoyed mountain road biking, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. Unfortunately when he started visiting and vacationing in WNC he found locating a comfortable mountain vacation home was difficult, time consuming, and often lead to many unexpected surprises and complications.

Seeing a market niche that had not been filled Jim and his daughter, Kristy Harris, created Deer Ridge Property Management and the vacation home division. The foundation of their company was to provide complete guest and owner services, and total satisfaction with no surprises.

This no surprises approach was then expanded to include long term residential rentals. We will not rent or manage any home we would not live in our selves and be proud to own.

Kristy Kolisch Harris is the vice president of operations and the Broker-in-charge of the company. Her background in marketing and communications has contributed greatly to our extensive marketing campaign for our rental homes. Kristy, lives in Cedar Mountain with her husband, Billy, and Labrador retriever, Hayla.

To our property owners we promise to market, maintain and protect their properties to the highest standards.

To our guests and tenants we promise to do everything possible to accommodate their needs with professional service delivered in a timely manner.
